In our English lesson we learned a lot about traditional English dishes.

So we thought it would be a good idea to cook one. We asked our English teacher and our new chef, Jasmin, and decided to cook a curry in our kitchen.

First, we watched an instruction video about hygiene and rules in the kitchen. Then, we were allowed to wash and cut the vegetables and the meat. After that, we fried the vegetables and the chicken in a pan.

Meanwhile, we washed the rice and boiled it. After that, we added coconut milk, curry and other spices. As the rice was ready, we tasted the sauce and added some salt and sugar.

Then it was perfect and we served it on plates. It was so delicious that even the 11th graders wanted to try- and they liked it.
So…English dishes aren’t that bad!

Thank you, Jasmin for a fun, yummy and exciting afternoon with you!
